2 Kings 17:26

So the king of Assyria was told, “The nations whom you have sent into exile and settled in the cities of Samaria do not know the custom of the god of the land; so He has sent lions among them, and they are killing them because they do not know the manner of [worship demanded by] the god of the land.”

Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.

This message was then sent back to the king of Assyria: “The people you brought in to occupy the towns of Samaria don’t know what’s expected of them from the god of the land, and now he’s sent lions and they’re killing people right and left because nobody knows what the god of the land expects of them.”

So they spoke to the king of Assyria, saying, “The nations whom you have carried away into exile in the cities of Samaria do not know the custom of the god of the land; so he has sent lions among them, and behold, they kill them because they do not know the custom of the god of the land.”

A report was given to the king of Assyria. He was told, “You forced people to leave their own homes and live in the towns of Samaria. But they don’t know what the god of that country requires. So he has sent lions among them. And the lions are killing the people off. That’s because the people don’t know what that god requires.”

It was reported to the king of Assyria: “The people you deported and resettled in the towns of Samaria do not know what the god of that country requires. He has sent lions among them, which are killing them off, because the people do not know what he requires.”

فَبَعَثُوا إِلَى مَلِكِ أَشُّورَ رِسَالَةً قَائِلِينَ: «إِنَّ الأَقْوَامَ الَّذِينَ قُمْتَ بِسَبْيِهِمْ وَإِسْكَانِهِمْ فِي مُدُنِ السَّامِرَةِ يَجْهَلُونَ قَضَاءَ إِلَهِ هَذِهِ الأَرْضِ، فَأَطْلَقَ عَلَيْهِمِ السِّبَاعَ فَافْتَرَسَتْهُمْ، لأَنَّهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ قَضَاءَهُ».

Da skyndte de sig at sende følgende budskab til den assyriske konge: „Vi nybyggere her i Israel kender ikke landets Gud, og nu har han sendt løver iblandt os, som dræber os, fordi vi ikke tilbeder ham.”

Alors ils s’adressèrent au roi d’Assyrie en lui faisant dire : Les populations que tu as déportées et que tu as fait habiter dans les villes de la Samarie ne connaissent pas les règles à suivre pour adorer le dieu du pays. Ini nga hitabo ginbalita sa hari sang Asiria: “Ang mga tawo nga imo ginpadala kag ginpaestar sa mga banwa sang Samaria wala kahibalo sang kasuguan sang dios sa amo nga lugar. Gani ginpadal-an niya sila sang mga leon kag ginpamatay ang iban sa ila, kay wala gid sila kahibalo sang iya kasuguan.”

Atunci i-au zis împăratului Asiriei: „Popoarele pe care le-ai adus pentru a locui în cetăţile Samariei, nu cunosc Legea Dumnezeului acestei ţări. El a trimis împotriva lor nişte lei şi au fost ucise de ei pentru că nu cunosc Legea Dumnezeului acestei ţări!“

Man rapporterade då till kungen i Assyrien: ”De folk du har utvisat och placerat i Samariens städer känner inte till hur landets Gud ska dyrkas, och därför har han sänt lejon bland dem som håller på att döda dem, därför att folk inte vet hur de ska dyrka honom.”

有人禀告亚述王说：“你迁移到撒玛利亚各城的那些人不知道当地神明的规矩，所以神明就差遣狮子闯入他们当中，咬死了一些人。”

有人稟告亞述王說：「你遷移到撒瑪利亞各城的那些人不知道當地神明的規矩，所以神明就差遣獅子闖入他們當中，咬死了一些人。」
