2 Chronicles 31:1

Now when all of this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah, and smashed the [pagan] pillars (obelisks, memorial stones) in pieces, cut down the Asherim (wooden symbols of a female deity), and tore down the high places and the altars [of idolatry] throughout all Judah and Benjamin, as well as in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the sons (descendants) of Israel returned to their own cities, each to his own property.

Now when all this was finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities of Judah, and brake the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.

After the Passover celebration, they all took off for the cities of Judah and smashed the phallic stone monuments, chopped down the sacred Asherah groves, and demolished the neighborhood sex-and-religion shrines and local god shops. They didn’t stop until they had been all through Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. Then they all went back home and resumed their everyday lives.

Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah, broke the pillars in pieces, cut down the [a]Asherim and pulled down the high places and the altars throughout all Judah and Benjamin, as well as in Ephraim and Manasseh, [b]until they had destroyed them all. Then all the sons of Israel returned to their cities, each to his possession.

The Passover Feast came to an end. The people of Israel who were in Jerusalem went out to the towns of Judah. They smashed the sacred stones. They cut down the poles used to worship the female god named Asherah. They destroyed the high places and the altars. They did those things all through Judah and Benjamin. They also did them in Ephraim and Manasseh. They destroyed all the objects used to worship other gods. Then the Israelites returned to their own towns and property. وَبَعْدَ أَنْ تَمَّ الاحْتِفَالُ، انْدَفَعَ كُلُّ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ الْحَاضِرِينَ إِلَى مُدُنِ يَهُوذَا وَحَطَّمُوا الأَنْصَابَ وَقَطَّعُوا تَمَاثِيلَ عَشْتَارُوثَ، وَهَدَمُوا الْمُرْتَفَعَاتِ وَالْمَذَابِحَ فِي كُلِّ يَهُوذَا وَبَنْيَامِينَ، وَفِي أَرْضِ أَفْرَايِمَ وَمَنَسَّى حَتَّى اسْتَأْصَلُوهَا. ثُمَّ رَجَعَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ فِي مَدِينَتِهِ. الاشتراك في العبادة

Da festen var forbi, var der en stor gruppe af de israelitter, som var kommet til Jerusalem, der gik ud for at gøre op med afgudsdyrkelsen. De tog rundt til alle byerne i Juda, Benjamin, Efraim og Manasse, hvor de fjernede alle afgudsaltrene, huggede Asherapælene om og nedrev afgudsofferhøjene. Først derefter gik de hjem til deres egne byer.

Lorsque toute la fête fut terminée, tous les Israélites qui se trouvaient là partirent pour les villes de Juda et brisèrent les stèles des idoles, abattirent les pieux sacrés d’Ashéra et démolirent les hauts lieux et les autels dans tout Juda et Benjamin, ainsi que dans les territoires d’Ephraïm et de Manassé, jusqu’à ce qu’il n’en reste plus. Puis tous les Israélites retournèrent dans leurs villes, chacun dans sa propriété.

Na afloop van het feest begon een grote actie tegen de afgodenverering. Alle mensen die in Jeruzalem de viering hadden bijgewoond, trokken naar de steden van Juda, Benjamin, Efraïm en Manasse en verwoestten daar de afgodsbeelden, de gewijde stenen, de schandelijke tempels en altaren die met de afgodenverering te maken hadden. När allt detta var över gick alla israeliter som varit där ut till städerna i Juda. 当一切都办妥后，所有在场的以色列人就前往犹大各城邑，打碎神柱，砍倒亚舍拉神像，又拆毁犹大、便雅悯、以法莲、玛拿西境内所有的丘坛和祭坛，然后各自返回自己的城邑和家园。

这 事 既 都 完 毕 ， 在 那 里 的 以 色 列 众 人 就 到 犹 大 的 城 邑 ， 打 碎 柱 像 ， 砍 断 木 偶 ， 又 在 犹 大 、 便 雅 悯 、 以 法 莲 、 玛 拿 西 遍 地 将 邱 坛 和 祭 坛 拆 毁 净 尽 。 於 是 以 色 列 众 人 各 回 各 城 ， 各 归 各 地 。

當一切都辦妥後，所有在場的以色列人就前往猶大各城邑，打碎神柱，砍倒亞舍拉神像，又拆毀猶大、便雅憫、以法蓮、瑪拿西境內所有的邱壇和祭壇，然後各自返回自己的城邑和家園。
