2 Chronicles 29:6

For our fathers have been unfaithful and have done evil in the sight of the Lord our God, and they have abandoned Him and have turned their faces away from the dwelling place of the Lord, and have turned their backs [toward Him].

For our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of the Lord, and turned their backs.

Our people weren’t faithful. They did what was evil in the eyes of the Lord our God. They deserted him. They turned their faces away from the place where he lives. They turned their backs on him.

لأَنَّ آبَاءَنَا خَانُوا الرَّبَّ إِلَهَنَا، وَارْتَكَبُوا الشَّرَّ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ وَتَرَكُوهُ، وَحَوَّلُوا وُجُوهَهُمْ عَنْ هَيْكَلِهِ وَأَدَارُوا لَهُ ظُهُورَهُمْ،

Vores forældre var troløse over for Herren. De gjorde, hvad der var ondt i hans øjne, og svigtede ham. De vendte ryggen til ham og lod templet forfalde.
