2 Chronicles 21:3

Their father gave them many gifts of silver, gold, and valuable things, in addition to fortified cities in Judah; but he gave the kingdom to Jehoram because he was the firstborn.

Their father had given each of them valuable gifts of silver, gold, and costly items, and also some of Judah’s fortified towns. However, he designated Jehoram as the next king because he was the oldest.

Joshafat havde givet hver af sine sønner kostbare gaver—sølv, guld og juveler—og givet dem herredømmet over nogle af Judas befæstede byer. Men han havde udnævnt Joram til konge, for han var den førstefødte søn.

Joschafat hatte ihnen viel Silber, Gold und andere Schätze geschenkt und ihnen die befestigten Städte in Juda überlassen. Zu seinem Nachfolger hatte er Joram bestimmt, weil er der älteste Sohn war.

Deras far hade gett dem många gåvor, silver och guld och andra dyrbarheter, och befästa städer i Juda. Men själva kungadömet gav han till Joram, eftersom denne var den förstfödde.
