So Edom revolted against the rule of Judah to this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time against Jehoram’s rule, because he had abandoned (turned away from) the Lord God of his fathers.

So the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. The same time also did Libnah revolt from under his hand; because he had forsaken the Lord God of his fathers.

So Edom revolted [e]against Judah to this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time [f]against his rule, because he had forsaken the Lord God of his fathers.

To this day Edom has refused to remain under Judah’s control.At that same time, Libnah also refused to remain under the control of Judah. That’s because Jehoram had deserted the Lord, the God of his people.

وَمُنْذُ ذَلِكَ الْحِينِ ظَلَّ الأَدُومِيُّونَ خَارِجِينَ عَنْ طَاعَةِ يَهُوذَا إِلَى هَذَا الْيَوْمِ، حِينَئِذٍ تَمَرَّدَتْ عَلَيْهِ لِبْنَةُ أَيْضاً لأَنَّهُ تَرَكَ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَ آبَائِهِ.

이때부터 에돔은 유다의 속박에서 벗어나 완전 독립국이 되었다. 그리고 이 때에 립나성도 반란을 일으켜 유다의 통치에서 벗어났는데 이런 일이 일어나게 된 것은 여호람이 그 조상의 하나님 여호와를 저버렸기 때문이었다.
