2 Chronicles 14:7

So he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and surround them with walls, towers, gates and bars [to secure the doors]. The land is still ours because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him [longing for Him with all our heart] and He has given us peace on every side.” So they built and prospered.

Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the Lord our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

Asa said to his people, “While we have the chance and the land is quiet, let’s build a solid defense system, fortifying our cities with walls, towers, gates, and bars. We have this peaceful land because we sought God; he has given us rest from all troubles.” So they built and enjoyed prosperity.

For he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still [e]ours because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

“Let’s build up our towns,” Asa said to the people of Judah. “Let’s put walls around them. Let’s provide them with towers. Let’s make them secure with gates that have heavy metal bars. The land still belongs to us. That’s because we’ve trusted in the Lord our God. We trusted in him, and he has given us peace and rest on every side.” So they built. And things went well for them.

“Let us build up these towns,” he said to Judah, “and put walls around them, with towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God; we sought him and he has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

Asa told the people of Judah, “Let us build towns and fortify them with walls, towers, gates, and bars. The land is still ours because we sought the Lord our God, and he has given us peace on every side.” So they went ahead with these projects and brought them to completion.

وَقَالَ لِيَهُوذَا: «لِنَبْنِ هَذِهِ الْمُدُنَ وَنُقِمْ حَوْلَهَا أَسْوَاراً وَأَبْرَاجاً وَأَبْوَاباً وَأَرْتَاجاً مَادُمْنَا مُسَيْطِرِينَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ، لأَنَّنَا طَلَبْنَا الرَّبَّ إِلَهَنَا، فَأَرَاحَنَا مِنْ كُلِّ جِهَةٍ». فَبَنَوْا وَأَفْلَحُوا.

Kong Asas hær bestod af 300.000 mænd fra Judas stamme, bevæbnet med spyd og aflange skjolde, og 280.000 mænd fra Benjamins stamme, bevæbnet med runde skjolde og buer. Alle Asas mænd var veltrænede og modige krigere.

아사는 유다 백성들에게 이렇게 말하였다. “우리가 성벽과 망대와 문과 빗장을 만들어 이 성들을 요새화하자. 우리가 우리 하나님 여호와를 찾았기 때문에 아직도 우리가 이 땅을 소유하고 있다. 우리가 그를 찾았으므로 그가 우리에게 사방으로 평안을 주셨다.” 그래서 그들은 요새 성 건축을 성공적으로 끝마쳤다.

Han talade till Juda: ”Låt oss bygga dessa städer och förse dem med murar och torn, portar och bommar. Landet är fortfarande vårt, eftersom vi har sökt Herren, vår Gud. Vi har sökt honom, och han har gett oss ro på alla sidor”. De byggde och hade framgång.
