1 Samuel 29:3

the Philistine commanders [having noticed David] said, “What are these Hebrews doing here?” Achish said to the Philistine commanders, “Is this not David, the servant of Saul king of Israel, who has been with me these days and years, and I have found no fault in him from the day he deserted to me to this day?”

Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day?

The Philistine officers said, “What business do these Hebrews have being here?”Achish answered the officers, “Don’t you recognize David, ex-servant of King Saul of Israel? He’s been with me a long time. I’ve found nothing to be suspicious of, nothing to complain about, from the day he defected from Saul until now.” 4-5 Angry with Achish, the Philistine officers said, “Send this man back to where he came from. Let him stick to his normal duties. He’s not going into battle with us. He’d switch sides in the middle of the fight! What better chance to get back in favor with his master than by stabbing us in the back! Isn’t this the same David they celebrate at their parties, singing,Saul kills by the thousand,David by the ten thousand!” 6-7 So Achish had to send for David and tell him, “As God lives, you’ve been a trusty ally—excellent in all the ways you have worked with me, beyond reproach in the ways you have conducted yourself. But the warlords don’t see it that way. So it’s best that you leave peacefully, now. It’s not worth it, displeasing the Philistine warlords.”

Then the commanders of the Philistines said, “What are these Hebrews doing here?” And Achish said to the commanders of the Philistines, “Is this not David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or rather these years, and I have found no fault in him from the day he [a]deserted to me to this day?”

The commanders of the Philistines asked, “Why are these Hebrews here?”Achish replied, “That’s David, isn’t it? Wasn’t he an officer of Saul, the king of Israel? He has already been with me for more than a year. I haven’t found any fault in him. That’s been true from the day he left Saul until now.”

فَسَأَلَهُ قَادَةُ الْفِلِسْطِينِيِّينَ: «مَاذَا يَفْعَلُ هَؤُلاءِ الْعِبْرَانِيُّونَ هُنَا؟» فَأَجَابَهُمْ أَخِيشُ: «أَلَيْسَ هَذَا دَاوُدَ الَّذِي كَانَ ضَابِطاً عِنْدَ شَاوُلَ مَلِكِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَقَدْ مَكَثَ مَعِي طَوَالَ هَذِهِ الْمُدَّةِ، فَلَمْ أَجِدْ فِيهِ عِلَّةً مُنْذُ أَنْ قَدِمَ إِلَيَّ وَحَتَّى هَذَا الْيَوْمِ».

De Filistijnse leiders wilden echter weten wat de Israëlieten daar deden. Koning Achis verklaarde: ‘Dit is David, de gevluchte dienaar van koning Saul van Israël. Hij is al jaren bij mij en ik heb sinds zijn komst nooit gemerkt dat hij niet te vertrouwen zou zijn.’

Então os comandantes filisteus perguntaram: “Que estão estes israelitas aqui a fazer?”“Este é David, o servo do rei Saul, que fugiu de Israel. Já há muito tempo que está comigo e não encontrei nele nada de culpável, desde que aqui chegou”, foi a resposta de Aquis.

非 利 士 人 的 首 领 说 ： 这 些 希 伯 来 人 在 这 里 做 甚 麽 呢 ？ 亚 吉 对 他 们 说 ： 这 不 是 以 色 列 王 扫 罗 的 臣 子 大 卫 麽 ？ 他 在 我 这 里 有 些 年 日 了 。 自 从 他 投 降 我 直 到 今 日 ， 我 未 曾 见 他 有 过 错 。

非利士人的官長說：「這些希伯來人在這裡做什麽？」亞吉告訴他們說：「這是以色列王掃羅的臣僕大衛，他追隨我有一段日子了，自從他投奔我以來，我沒發現他有什麼過錯。」
