1 Samuel 13:12

therefore, I said, ‘Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not asked for the Lord’s favor [by making supplication to Him].’ So I forced myself to offer the burnt offering.”

Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the Lord: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.

فَقُلْتُ إِنَّ الْفِلِسْطِينِيِّينَ مُتَأَهِّبُونَ الآنَ لِلْهُجُومِ عَلَيَّ فِي الْجِلْجَالِ وَأَنَا لَمْ أَتَضَرَّعْ إِلَى الرَّبِّ بَعْدُ طَلَباً لِعَوْنِهِ، فَوَجَدْتُ نَفْسِي مُرْغَماً عَلَى تَقْرِيبِ الْمُحْرَقَةِ».

Så tænkte jeg: ‚Filistrene kan angribe, hvad øjeblik det skal være, og jeg har endnu ikke bedt Herren om hjælp.’ Derfor tog jeg mod til mig og ofrede selv brændofferet i stedet for at vente på dig.”

我想非利士人就要到吉甲来攻打我们了，但我们还没有向耶和华求助，我迫不得已，就献上燔祭了。”

所 以 我 心 里 说 ： 恐 怕 我 没 有 祷 告 耶 和 华 。 非 利 士 人 下 到 吉 甲 攻 击 我 ， 我 就 勉 强 献 上 燔 祭 。

我想非利士人就要到吉甲來攻打我們了，但我們還沒有向耶和華求助，我迫不得已，就獻上燔祭了。」
