1 Kings 9:8

This house (temple) will become a heap of ruins; everyone who passes by will be appalled and [b]sneer and say, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this house?’

And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus unto this land, and to this house?

And this house will become [e]a heap of ruins; everyone who passes by will be astonished and hiss and say, ‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’

This temple will become a pile of stones. All those who pass by it will be shocked. They will make fun of it. And they will say, ‘Why has the Lord done a thing like this to this land and temple?’

This temple will become a heap of rubble. All[c] who pass by will be appalled and will scoff and say, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’

وَيُصْبِحُ هَذَا الْهَيْكَلُ عِبْرَةً يُثِيرُ عَجَبَ كُلِّ مَنْ يَمُرُّ بِهِ، فَيَصْفُرُ وَيَتَسَاءَلُ: لِمَاذَا صَنَعَ الرَّبُّ هَكَذَا بِهَذِهِ الأَرْضِ وَبِهَذَا الْهَيْكَلِ؟

Detta hus som nu är så imponerande, ska var och en som går förbi häpet säga: ’Varför har Herren gjort så med detta land och detta tempel?’
