1 Kings 8:25

Now therefore, O Lord, the God of Israel, keep for Your servant my father David that which You promised him when You said, ‘You shall not be without a man (descendant) to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your sons take heed to their way [of life] to walk before Me [according to my laws] as you have done.’

Therefore now, Lord God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

Now therefore, O Lord, the God of Israel, keep with Your servant David my father that which You have [i]promised him, saying, ‘[j]You shall not lack a man to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your sons take heed to their way to walk before Me as you have walked.’

“Lord, you are the God of Israel. Keep the promises you made to my father David. Do it for him. He was your servant. Here is what you said to him. ‘A son from your family line will sit before me on the throne of Israel. This will always be true if your children after you are careful in everything they do. They must live in my sight faithfully the way you have lived.’

“Now Lord, the God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father the promises you made to him when you said, ‘You shall never fail to have a successor to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your descendants are careful in all they do to walk before me faithfully as you have done.’

‘Now Lord, the God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father the promises you made to him when you said, “You shall never fail to have a successor to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your descendants are careful in all they do to walk before me faithfully as you have done.”

“And now, O Lord, God of Israel, carry out the additional promise you made to your servant David, my father. For you said to him, ‘If your descendants guard their behavior and faithfully follow me as you have done, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.’

فَالآنَ احْفَظْ لأَبِي دَاوُدَ مَا وَعَدْتَهُ بِهِ، إِنَّهُ إِذَا حَذَا أَوْلادُهُ حَذْوَهُ، وَسَارُوا فِي طَرِيقِكَ، فَسَيَجْلِسُ دَوْماً وَاحِدٌ مِنْهُمْ عَلَى عَرْشِ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

Og nu, Herre, beder jeg dig opfylde resten af dit løfte til ham: At hvis hans efterkommere gør som ham og handler efter din vilje, skal der altid sidde en fra hans slægt på Israels trone.

Herr, du Gott Israels, ich bitte dich: Halte auch das andere Versprechen, das du meinem Vater David gegeben hast. Du sagtest zu ihm: ›Immer wird einer deiner Nachkommen König über Israel sein, solange sie mir dienen, wie du mir gedient hast.‹

A présent, Eternel, Dieu d’Israël, veuille aussi tenir l’autre promesse que tu lui as faite lorsque tu lui as dit : « Il y aura toujours l’un de tes descendants qui siégera sous mon regard sur le trône d’Israël, à condition qu’ils veillent sur leur conduite pour vivre selon ma volonté comme tu as toi-même vécu[h]. »

Kag karon, Ginoo, Dios sang Israel, tumana pa gid ang imo ginpromisa sa imo alagad nga si David nga akon amay sang nagsiling ka sa iya, ‘Indi ka madulaan sang kaliwat nga magabulos sa imo bilang hari sa Israel kon maayo lang ang pagsunod sang imo mga kaliwat sa akon, pareho sang imo ginhimo.’

이스라엘의 하나님 여호와여, 주께서는 내 아버지에게 이런 약속을 하셨습니다. ‘만일 네 자손들이 너를 본받아 내 뜻대로 살면 이스라엘의 왕위에 앉을 사람이 네 집안에서 끊어지지 않을 것이다.’

En, Here, God van Israël, vervul nu ook uw verdere beloften aan David: dat van zijn nakomelingen altijd één op de troon van Israël zal zitten, zolang zij uw wegen volgen en hun best doen uw wil te doen.

Herre, Israels Gud, uppfyll nu också det löfte du gav din tjänare, min far David, när du sa: ’Det ska aldrig saknas en ättling till dig på Israels tron, om bara dina efterkommande är vaksamma och lever inför mig som du har gjort.’

“และบัดนี้ข้าแต่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล ขอทรงรักษาคำมั่นสัญญาที่ทรงมีต่อดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ ผู้เป็นราชบิดาของข้าพระองค์ที่ว่า ‘หากวงศ์วานของเจ้าใส่ใจที่จะทำทุกอย่างและดำเนินอยู่ต่อหน้าเราเหมือนอย่างที่เจ้าได้ทำ เจ้าก็จะไม่ขาดคนที่จะขึ้นครองบัลลังก์แห่งอิสราเอลต่อหน้าเรา’

“以色列的上帝耶和华啊，你曾对你仆人——我父大卫说，‘你的子孙若像你一样谨慎行事、遵行我的旨意，你的王朝就不会中断。’求你信守这应许。
