1 Chronicles 28:8

Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek after all the commandments of the Lord your God so that you may possess the good land and leave it as an inheritance to your sons after you forever.

Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the Lord, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the Lord your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.

“And now, in this public place, all Israel looking on and God listening in, as God’s people, obey and study every last one of the commandments of your God so that you can make the most of living in this good land and pass it on intact to your children, insuring a good future. 9-10 “And you, Solomon my son, get to know well your father’s God; serve him with a whole heart and eager mind, for God examines every heart and sees through every motive. If you seek him, he’ll make sure you find him, but if you abandon him, he’ll leave you for good. Look sharp now! God has chosen you to build his holy house. Be brave, determined! And do it!” 11-19 Then David presented his son Solomon with the plans for The Temple complex: porch, storerooms, meeting rooms, and the place for atoning sacrifice. He turned over the plans for everything that God’s Spirit had brought to his mind: the design of the courtyards, the arrangements of rooms, and the closets for storing all the holy things. He gave him his plan for organizing the Levites and priests in their work of leading and ordering worship in the house of God, and for caring for the liturgical furnishings. He provided exact specifications for how much gold and silver was needed for each article used in the services of worship: the gold and silver Lampstands and lamps, the gold tables for consecrated bread, the silver tables, the gold forks, the bowls and the jars, and the Incense Altar. And he gave him the plan for sculpting the cherubs with their wings outstretched over the Chest of the Covenant of God—the cherubim throne. “Here are the blueprints for the whole project as God gave me to understand it,” David said. 20-21 David continued to address Solomon: “Take charge! Take heart! Don’t be anxious or get discouraged. God, my God, is with you in this; he won’t walk off and leave you in the lurch. He’s at your side until every last detail is completed for conducting the worship of God. You have all the priests and Levites standing ready to pitch in, and skillful craftsmen and artisans of every kind ready to go to work. Both leaders and people are ready. Just say the word.”

So now, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek after all the commandments of the Lord your God so that you may possess the good land and bequeath it to your sons after you forever.

“So I’m giving you a command in the sight of all the people of Israel. The Lord’s community is watching. And our God is listening. I command you to be careful to follow all the commands of the Lord your God. Then you will own this good land. You will pass it on to your children after you as their share forever.

“So now I charge you in the sight of all Israel and of the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God: Be careful to follow all the commands of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land and pass it on as an inheritance to your descendants forever.

“So now, with God as our witness, and in the sight of all Israel—the Lord’s assembly—I give you this charge. Be careful to obey all the commands of the Lord your God, so that you may continue to possess this good land and leave it to your children as a permanent inheritance.

فَأُوْصِيكُمُ الآنَ، عَلَى مَشْهَدٍ مِنْ كُلِّ إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَفِي مَحْضَرِ مَحْفَلِ الرَّبِّ، وَفِي مَسْمَعِ اللهِ، أَنْ تُطِيعُوا جَمِيعَ أَوَامِرِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ، وَتَسْعَوْا إِلَى مُمَارَسَتِهَا لِكَيْ تَظَلُّوا وَارِثِينَ لِلأَرْضِ الطَّيِّبَةِ، ثُمَّ تُوَرِّثُوهَا لأَوْلادِكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ إِلَى الأَبَدِ.

Med Gud som vidne opfordrer jeg derfor jer alle, hele Israels folk, Herrens menighed, til at overholde alle Guds bud, så I kan beholde dette gode land og lade det gå i arv til jeres efterkommere til evig tid.

So bitte ich euch nun vor ganz Israel, der Gemeinde des Herrn, und vor unserem Gott, der uns zuhört: Befolgt alle Gebote des Herrn, eures Gottes, und haltet euch stets an sie! Dann gehört dieses gute Land auch in Zukunft euch, und ihr könnt es euren Nachkommen für alle Zeiten vererben.

Maintenant, en présence de tout Israël, de l’assemblée de l’Eternel, et en présence de notre Dieu qui vous entend, je vous conjure d’obéir à tous les commandements de l’Eternel votre Dieu, et de chercher à les connaître. Alors vous posséderez ce beau pays et vous le transmettrez en héritage à vos descendants à perpétuité.

“이제 내가 우리 하나님 앞과 여호와의 백성인 이스라엘 군중 앞에서 여러분에게 부탁합니다. 여러분은 여러분의 하나님 여호와의 모든 명령을 힘써 지키십시오. 그러면 여러분이 이 아름다운 땅을 계속 소유하게 될 것이며 또 여러분의 후손에게 이것을 길이길이 물려 주게 될 것입니다.”

David keerde zich tot zowel Salomo als het volk en zei: ‘Hier, voor de leiders van Israël, het volk van God en voor de ogen van onze God, bind ik allen op het hart elk gebod van de Here te gehoorzamen en zijn wil te onderzoeken, zodat u dit goede land in bezit houdt en het aan uw kinderen nalaat als een eeuwig eigendom.’

“Por isso, agora declaro-lhes perante todo o Israel e a assembléia do Senhor, e diante dos ouvidos de nosso Deus: Tenham o cuidado de obedecer a todos os mandamentos do Senhor, o seu Deus, para que mantenham a posse dessa boa terra e a dêem por herança aos seus descendentes para sempre.

Aqui, na presença de todos os israelitas, o povo do Senhor, ordeno que guardem cada um dos mandamentos do Senhor, vosso Deus, de forma a poderem continuar a reger esta boa terra e deixá-la aos vossos filhos, para que a governem para sempre.

Här inför Israel, Herrens församling, och inför Gud själv som hör detta, uppmanar jag er att hålla alla Herrens, er Guds bud, så att ni får äga detta goda land och sedan överlämna det till era efterkommande för evig tid.
