1 Chronicles 15:29

It happened that as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the City of David, Michal [David’s wife] the daughter of Saul, looking down through a window, saw King David leaping and dancing [in celebration]; and [b]she despised him in her heart.

And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, that Michal, the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.

When the Chest of the Covenant of God entered the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, was watching from a window. When she saw King David dancing ecstatically she was filled with contempt.

It happened when the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and celebrating; and she despised him in her heart.

The ark of the covenant of the Lord was brought into the City of David. Saul’s daughter Michal was watching from a window. She saw King David dancing and celebrating. That made her hate him in her heart.

وَعِنْدَمَا دَخَلَ تَابُوتُ عَهْدِ الرَّبِّ مَدِينَةَ دَاوُدَ، أَطَلَّتْ مِيكَالُ ابْنَةُ شَاوُلَ مِنَ الْكَوَّةِ فَشَاهَدَتِ الْمَلِكَ دَاوُدَ يَرْقُصُ وَيَقْفِزُ، فَازْدَرَتْهُ فِي قَلْبِهَا.

Men da processionen nåede ind til Davidsbyen, og Davids kone Mikal, Sauls datter, fra sit vindue så kong David hoppe rundt og danse af glæde, følte hun foragt for ham.

Men när Herrens förbundsark kom fram till Davids stad, såg Mikal, Sauls dotter, ut genom fönstret. Hon såg kung David hoppa och dansa av glädje, och hon föraktade honom.
